Typically, water quality is assessed through laboratory analysis. We will then advise you on what treatment (if any) is required and ensure it is best suited to your requirements. In 2010, Risk Assessment was introduced as part of the amended Private Water Supply Regulations. These assessments are carried out by Local Authorities as a means of auditing private water supplies to ascertain their suitability for use.

With the appropriate treatment, almost unequivocally, yes. Most borehole water supplies require some form of treatment and typically this is a straightforward process for us as water supply and treatment professionals. Our service and maintenance packages ensure (mostly) trouble free water supply from source to taps.
This depends on where in the UK you are. Iron, Manganese and hardness are issues that we regularly encounter in Borehole water supplies. These and other naturally occurring metals are usually easily treatable and we can often address multiple water quality issues with one treatment.
For domestic supplies (and most commercial and agricultural supplies) the answer is no. On some industrial water supplies we dose a safe level of sodium hypochlorite into the water to assist with other treatment processes. Then we remove the chlorine before the water reaches points of use.
